Lexington South Carolina obviously is in Lexington County, just as Greenville SC is in Greenville County. That said, It is the largest town in the county which is huge and includes many other towns. As with many larger towns, Lexington SC has a main street that makes up most if not all of the government-related workplaces and offices. One of the more popular communities of Lexington is Saluda River Club

The town of Lexington South Carolina is home to many parks but the biggest draw will always be Lake Murray, which people have loved and enjoyed since it was created as one of the largest reservoirs in the United States. Lexington is 12 miles from the capital city of Columbia and only 2 miles from Irmo SC by the dam that was built to create Lake Murray. Lexington would be considered an “all-American suburban town”, with the largest employers being government jobs, and/or large national corporations making up the others.
